At the salle Marquette on March 17th
Peter Hammill trio comes to Québec

Promoter Michel Brazeau confirmed yesterday to the Soleil that Peter Hammill is coming to Québec. The British singer will perform March 17th at the salle Marquette. That is news that will make progressive music fans rejoice. In fact, the last visit from the ex-leader of Van der Graaf Generator dates back to April 1985. For the new tour, Peter Hammill, a veteran when it comes to intimate concerts, will be accompanied by Stuart Gordon (ex-member of the Neutrons) and his faithful accomplice, the bassist Nic Potter. It's the second time Hammill has opted for this formula. In 1978, he presented a series of concerts in Québec with violinist Graham Smith and Nic Potter. There wont be an opening act, because the singer has organised a two and a half hour show, according to Michel Brazeau. Peter Hammill has recently released an album entitled 'Out Of Water', but for the moment it isn't available in Québec.

Tickets go on sale Friday.
